Our Craftsmanship
An Authentic Production Process
We place great importance on each step of production:
- Respectful agriculture: our sugarcane is grown under optimal conditions, with generous sunshine and controlled irrigation.
- Artisanal harvest: the cane is cut by hand, ensuring rigorous selection and exceptional quality.
- Traditional distillation: our Grogu is distilled in a copper still heated by wood, perpetuating the ancestral methods of our forefather.
Our History
Cabral & Martins is, above all, a family adventure. It all began in the 1970s with our grandfather, Cécilio Martins Sequeira, nicknamed « Quim », who ventured into agriculture and rum production after acquiring land in the Ribeira Grande de Santiago valley.
After his passing, our parents, Luciano and Francisca Cabral, took over, preserving and enriching this precious legacy. Today, we continue this tradition with a new vision: to make our Grogu shine beyond the borders of Cape Verde.
